Nursery Planting

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday April 16

9:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

Tampa Bay Watch, in partnership with Pinellas County, is recruiting volunteers for a nursery planting at our new community wetland nursery located at Fort De Soto Park, 3500 Pinellas Bayway S, Tierra Verde, FL 33715. The project involves taking bare-root plants and planting them into pots. The plants grown in our wetland nurseries will be used for future community plantings across the watershed to restore valuable habitat.

With nursery events, please prepare to get dirty. We will provide gloves, but feel free to bring your own garden gloves if you prefer. Bring a pair of boots or water shoes if you have them as it would be helpful to have one or two people to assist in placing plants into the nursery which will have water in it. We have tables to work on, but you may wish to bring a folding camp chair. Water will be provided but please bring a reusable water bottle. We will supply lunch for volunteers at 12 PM after we finish planting!
