Native Planting at Robinson Preserve

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday September 24

9:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

Tampa Bay Watch in partnership with Manatee County’s Natural Resource Department is recruiting volunteers for a nursery recycling at a community wetland nursery located near the Robinson Preserve, 1401 99th St. NW, Bradenton, FL 34209.

This event involves separating the existing plants growing in our wetland plant nursery in half and replanting them in pots so they can continue to grow and be used for future community plantings.

With nursery events, prepare to get dirty. We will provide gloves but feel free to bring your own garden gloves if you prefer. Bring a pair of boots if you have them as it would be helpful to have one or two people assisting in removing and placing plants in the nurseries which will have water in them.  We have tables to work on, but you may wish to bring a folding camp chair. We will have water coolers but please bring a reusable water bottle. We will provide all required materials, bug spray, sunscreen, and snacks!
