Florida Microplastics Awareness Project Workshop

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday January 19

5:00 PM  –  6:30 PM

Our mission at Tampa Bay Watch is to maintain and preserve our beautiful estuary; and one of the most critical environmental concerns is plastic pollution. Often overlooked, microplastics is one of the most impactful forms of pollution. In an effort to increase awareness of microplastic presence, the Florida Microplastic Awareness Project (FMAP) is engaging volunteers throughout the state in sampling and analyzing local waters for plastic. Come learn about the facts behind plastic pollution and its impact on the environment. This workshop consists of an informative lecture and microplastic sampling demonstration. Participants will hopefully leave feeling inspired to be a part of the solution and get involved.

*Workshop attendance is limited to 20 people. Must be 15 years or older to participate.
